Chinaful’s New Look
Welcome to the new Chinaful!
When I founded Chinaful more than two years ago, my goal was to be a bridge between the East and the West. To help the cultures understand one another, and to show Western readers how fascinating China’s culture, food, travel, history, business and law really are. I know that our new layout brings us that much closer to communicating my vision for this space and our dialogue.
We’ve had these changes in the works for months–all with the goal of providing you, the readers, with a space that is, well, more Chinaful. When I showed the layout to a friend for feedback, her first thought was that the homepage is 热闹, renao, or bustling with noise. It’s like Chinese New Year every day, with movement, interest, and hits of the color red.
We hope this site inspires you to discover new things about China and the world. That’s why we’ve updated to include Related Posts on the side of each blog page. You can check out other posts, new and old, that help you learn more about all of the topics we cover on the blog, from travel tips to anti-corruption advice.
My favorite feature of the new site is how easy it is to connect through social media. You can connect with me and Chinaful through the subscribe pop-up at the top of the page. Get Chinaful easily through your email, follow me on Twitter, or join the Chinaful Facebook and Pinterest groups. Every option has new content, much of which is unique and may not even be shared here on the blog.
You can also share what you’re reading on Chinaful with your friends. Just click on the buttons from the home page on what I like to call the “social media character.” The character 共, gong, means to share. And that’s what we hope you’ll do – share a new Chinaful recipe with your friends on Facebook, or tweet a link to a Chinaful blog about a new business or law trend.
As we continue to grow, we look forward to your continued comments and emails. Please, let us know what you think of Chinaful’s new look! We love to hear from our readers. And we’re always interested in your ChinaSnap! photos, like the one we just received from reader Larry Star. Talk to us, we’d love to know your questions about China or hear about your experiences traveling, eating, and learning about this country that we love.
Thank you for reading. I look forward to sharing more and more with each of you on this new platform.
