Courtney Gould Miller

Founder & Editor-in-Chief

As an attorney, Courtney's practice focuses on outbound civil litigation for Chinese clients, internal investigations, and international anti-corruption compliance counseling.  Her expertise in China spans nearly a decade -- beginning with studies in Mandarin and Chinese history at Vanderbilt University and Capital Normal University in Beijing, Courtney found a true passion for the language and people.  She has returned to live in the P.R.C. several times since, including to conduct urban research in cooperation with Guangxi University of Technology and to study in the Chinese Law LLM program at Tsinghua University in Beijing.  While at UCLA School of Law, she hosted the 2008 US-China Business Law Conference and led the UCLA Pacific Basin Law Journal.

Thanks to friends she met in her travels, she can honestly claim to make a mean 饺子 (dumpling) and play an equally mean game of mahjong.  When not on business in China, Courtney resides with her husband in Los Angeles, California.

Courtney is a speaker on business etiquette with Asian clientele and is available for comment on news involving China.  For inquiries contact cgouldmiller@gmail.com.
